About us
FOHOW is an international wellbeing group rooted in the Chinese Yang Sheng tradition – the art of nurturing vitality and living in balance. FOHOW has operated in China since 1999 and on international markets since 2007. FOHOW.fi brings the group’s products, devices and training to Finland.

What is FOHOW?
FOHOW is an international group that develops, manufactures and markets products based on natural raw materials and traditional Chinese wellbeing culture. Its operations cover the entire chain: extraction of plant raw materials, recipe research and development, production and international marketing.
The group’s headquarters are in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, in southern China. The same complex houses a product development centre, a quality control centre and the group’s own factories for plant raw materials, food supplements, cosmetics and wellbeing devices. It has subsidiaries and offices in countries including the United States, Japan and Russia.
FOHOW’s founder is Yu Fei. In the courtyard of the headquarters stands a monument engraved with the company’s quality pledge: every product must be one you can confidently give to your own children, spouse and parents.

History
From Foshan to the world
1999
Founder Yu Fei establishes the first wellbeing products manufacturing plant in Foshan, southern China.
2001
The FOHOW Yang Sheng Research Institute is founded under Professor Tang Youzhi.
2005
The Zhuhai production plant begins operations.
2006
The FOHOW brand is introduced to the world.
2007
FOHOW enters the global market: the first office abroad opens in Moscow. 2027 marks 20 years of international operations.
2008
The FOHOW Hope Foundation is established to support orphans and children with disabilities.
2015
FOHOW now operates in 68 countries.
2023
A new headquarters and industrial park are completed in Zhuhai.
2025
New research projects with Chinese universities and a joint venture in Japan.
Research
Science and tradition together
FOHOW’s research and development combines traditional Chinese wellbeing knowledge with modern science. The work is guided by the principle of three modernisations: scientific research, products that fit everyday life, and internationalisation.
Yang Sheng Research Institute
Founded in 2001. Researches the Chinese Yang Sheng tradition and how it can be applied to wellbeing today.
Research centre in China
The heart of the group’s research: laboratories, a data centre and training of experts. The expert team includes more than 30 researchers and professors, and the group holds more than 30 technological patents.
University partnerships
Joint laboratories and projects with institutions such as Sun Yat-sen University (gut microbiota), Henan University (essential oils) and the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (sleep).
Research is not limited to China. FOHOW engages in international research collaboration, takes part in international industry organisations and has held scientific forums in countries including Russia and Poland. More than 1,800 FOHOW Yang Sheng experience centres around the world let people get to know the products and devices first-hand.

I am a qualified massage therapist (JulkiTerhikki) and the founder of Hyvinvointikeskus Hoitava Hieronta. Hyvinvointikeskus Hoitava Hieronta has been operating in Rastila, Helsinki, for about six years. In my work, I combine different techniques, such as craniosacral therapy, with traditional Chinese Yang Sheng thinking.
As an official FOHOW special representative, I can hold events in FOHOW’s name and train and certify new practitioners. My team and I visited FOHOW’s headquarters in China – the video at the top of the page shows part of that journey.
